Publication integrity

Coverage is documented, not implied

• Appearance, quotation and authorship are recorded as different forms of participation.
• A link is retained where the item remains publicly accessible; a dead link is identified rather than silently removed.
• Outlet coverage does not imply endorsement by the outlet, the AIR Programme or the researchers.
• Corrections distinguish errors in the catalogue from changes made by an external publisher.

Start with the evidence and its limits

Figures should be reported with the named data release, calculation-inclusion rule, denominator, partial-year status and evidence classification. Recorded public-source cases are not population-incidence estimates, and country-level context does not establish an individual offender’s exposure or cause.
