The State of AIR in the Five Eyes

The annual report will provide a stable, citable account of changes in the AIR case corpus, social context, evidence base, methods and unresolved questions. Every issue will remain available in this archive.

Archive begins with the first published report

No placeholder PDF, provisional cover or invented publication date is presented as a research output. The first annual report is a 2027 roadmap target and will be added only after editorial, data and accessibility review.

Each report will remain identifiable and auditable

  • Version and date: each PDF and web summary will state its edition, publication date and data cut-off.
  • Data lineage: every figure will identify the case, context and insight releases used.
  • Evidence classification: observed findings, statistical associations, informed hypotheses and methodological observations will remain distinct.
  • Corrections: a material correction will create a new version; the superseded issue will remain archived with a notice.
  • Accessibility: charts will include text alternatives and underlying tables; the PDF will be checked for reading order and document structure.

A disciplined synthesis, not an advocacy document

Cases

Volume and composition

Complete-year trends, AIR distribution, case categories, geography, pathways, targets and harm vectors with explicit denominators.

Context

Five Eyes conditions

Only indicators whose units, periods and comparison permissions support the stated use; missingness and regime changes remain visible.

Testing AIR

Support and complications

Findings that support, weaken, qualify or contradict AIR hypotheses, alongside alternative explanations and null results.

Methods

Corrections and validation

Changes to definitions, sources, coding, reliability evidence and limitations since the previous issue.

AIR Updates maintain the record between annual reports

January, April, July and October updates will record material data, scholarship, publication and programme changes. They will not silently rewrite an annual report.
